The cabin was exactly as described. Pictures don’t do it justice. Our family enjoyed 3 nights of playing games and relaxing in the hot tub. It was nice to disconnect from the world.

Absolutely beautiful cabin, the property was peaceful and secluded. Really enjoyed the hot tub and watching the deer walk through the property. Walked in and had they had the fireplace going and it was decorated so lovely!!

My bridal party and I stayed in the Sportsman Cabin this weekend for my bachelorette party. The cabin was so cozy, comfortable and beautiful! We had an amazing weekend relaxing, laughing, watching wildlife, and enjoying the hot tub. I definitely will be returning! It’s like home away from home! Everything was stocked up nicely (we didn’t need to bring half of what we brought) pretty much everything is provided so you can just enjoy your time relaxing! ??

This has been the best place to have memories. My family did not watch TV .They only used their phone for pictures. We all were impressed with the cabin. The atmosphere was fantastic. Our family stayed at the cabin for the weekend in March. Although it was sunny and cold the kids had a great time playing outdoors. Hide and seek and bowling on the deck. We had plenty of space for all of us to sleep. The cabin had everything we needed for the weekend. We played games, cards and just relaxing. We loved it.

This cabin is amazingly beautiful inside and out. It is furnished and equipped with everything you need for a quiet getaway. It is secluded yet close enough to ludington and many other attractions. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great cabin getaway. We did a family trip but I can definitely see a romantic weekend plan here as well.

We just returned from a weekend at Taylor’s Walhalla Log Cabin and it was amazing. The cabin is beautiful and the location is perfect. When we arrived they already had a fire going for us which was very much appreciated. The hot tub was a nice add on also. We celebrated my husband’s birthday out there and we couldn’t of asked for a better place. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend staying there.

The Walhalla cabin was the perfect getaway for the two of us. Super clean, comfortable and very cozy. When we arrived the fireplace was going (such a nice touch) all lighting was dimmed to make it cozy. The view inside the cabin was just as breathtaking as the outside. So many quaint details. Hot tub was an added bonus to the property, we really enjoyed it. Even thou it was winter. So beautiful to be sitting in the hot tub watching it snow. We cannot wait to go back and take our family. We’re already searching dates.

When we arrived the driveway was freshly plowed, there was a fire already burning in the wood burning stove, and everything was so clean and neat. Had everything we needed right there ---all was clean and well maintained. I enjoyed having a dishwasher ---don't have one at home! Jeff had a fire started to welcome us to the cabin. The only "surprise " was having to take our trash with us. -Not a problem for us, but it maybe something nice to know ahead of time. We did go into Ludington to eat at PM Steamers. We like it there but hadn't been there in many years. Good Michigan cherry salad and excellent mushroom ravioli. We had a great time very nice cabin. We loved the woods all around us, very secluded. Very clean and any thing we wanted it was there. We went to Ludington State park and walked to the light house and went kayaking on Lost Lake, very pretty at the park. We had great food in Ludington. We were looking for a get away that was away from it all! This certainly offered that and more. A great log cabin that is comfortable and has the comforts of home tucked in the woods with beautiful vistas out onto a wetland and lake. Deer visited every day, flocks of geese rested in the lake every night and saw a heron. Wonderful covered front porch that make even a rainy day perfect. Cozy wood burning stove and fire pit for warming the soul. Our golden retrievers were reluctant to leave! Caught bass in the lake and let the dogs swim a bit. Very easy to get to. This cabin is absolutely beautiful and the location is perfect. We had such a great time! The satellite dish had been knocked out by a storm the day of our arrival, but to tell you the truth, we didn't miss t.v. at all. There was so much to look at and just enjoy! We saw deer (even a baby that still had it's spots), all sorts of birds, a porcupine, and just sitting outside on the deck and around the campfire was so relaxing. What a perfect getaway! Plus, if you wanted nightlife, you don't have to go too far for that. We were there during the Blessing of the Bikes, and even got to watch the port-a-potty races! What a riot they were. My family just stayed at this wonderful log cabin, and while this was our first time renting a cottage, it by far exceeded our expectations! The cabin was just great. The location, and setting was just what we were looking for. We were able to bring our family dog along, and that was a huge plus for us. THe cabin was very clean and neat, had all the comforts of home, and most of all was very private and quiet. The log cottage atmosphere, with the antique decorating, was a nice change from the hotel/motel places we normally stay at in Ludington. They even had a fire going for us when we arrived. I was searching for a "cabin in the woods" for several weeks before I finally came upon this cabin. I am so incredibly thankful to have found such an amazing place for my retreat. When I drove up the driveway I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty and quietness of my surroundings. Then as I drove a little more and arrived at the cabin, I stepped out of the car to look around and literally wept. Your breathe will be taken away at the seclusion, beauty and peace you will feel during your entire stay. I am artist/photographer and writer and needed a place where there wouldn't be any noise except nature, no neighbors, no car noises, I didn't want to see a row of "cabin motels" and be in the middle of a noisy camp like atmosphere. I wanted and needed complete isolation for some therapy work I am doing, and I got exactly what I needed...an overwhelming feeling of peace, calm and joy even amongst the difficult work I was doing. And the art/photo opportunities are ENDLESS!!! I spent a lot of time just exploring in the woods, walking down to the lake, found a wonderful and peaceful spot on the River , loved watching the sunset over the lake Michigan and sitting on the enclosed deck writing and enjoying the view. My 10 days here were life changing. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this cabin, its' surroundings and the very professional way the owner answered my many questions all up until my day of arrival. The owners provided amazing customer service, gave cell numbers in case of emergency, left the cabin in beautiful clean condition (along with a cozy fire which just added to the already peaceful atmosphere as I walked in), and had the cabin stocked with all the necessities. The property is accurately described along with detailed photos, but really if you think the photos are beautiful wait until you are actually there, it will take your breathe away too! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this cabin to anyone, any age, and especially for those art/writers that need peace and quiet to just think and recharge their soul. Four of us rented this cabin for the first time last May, and could hardly wait to go again this year, even though the weather forecast did not look promising. They were wrong! For most of our stay, the weather was perfect (it was in the 80's for 2 days), and even when it did rain, it was mostly just a drizzle. The cabin is so wonderful we wouldn't have cared if it did rain the whole time! There is so much wildlife to see and it is so serene and peaceful there, that we have a hard time leaving. We thoroughly enjoyed last weekend at the cabin. The snowy January landscape was beautiful, and exactly what we had hoped for. Inside the cabin was warm and cozy, thanks to the wood burning stove. When we didn’t have a fire going, there were plenty of blankets to wrap ourselves in. The cabin is isolated, but very well equipped. We had everything we needed. Although there is no internet connection, we were pleasantly surprised to find a good cell phone signal there. Basic groceries can be found just a few miles away, along with inexpensive firewood. We felt relaxed and recharged at the end of our stay! -

This is a gorgeous log cabin in the woods, a great place for a weekend getaway. We arrived in a sudden snowstorm and got stuck in the long driveway, Jeff worked hard to get someone out to help us get unstuck, he's a good guy who made it work. After that, it was a beautiful time! Nice kitchen, great wood-burning stove, nicely set-up cabin with everything you need, we definitely recommend it. Thanks worth a visit. In all, this cabin is HIGHLY recommended for anyone who needs a getaway or a place to stay that's relatively close to the winter sports that are available in the area. This Cabin was more beautiful in person! I expected nice, but this is beyond nice! My husband and I arrived to a warm cabin, fire going in the fireplace, and a few lights on. It was so warm and inviting! The owner has thought of everything! I felt very at home at this cabin. The road to the cabin was plowed, and considering how much snow we got this year, Im sure it was a constant battle to keep the road clear! We had zero problems and no complaints at all! We had a lovely time at the Taylor's cabin. It was clean and comfortable. With the forest setting, I don't like bugs but I didn't see even one inside. I did wish the king bed was a little less firm. The privacy was just what we needed. We were able to walk our dogs off the leash without disturbing any neighbors. We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin has absolutely everything you need. We talked about returning for a second visit and we will only have to bring our personal items and food! We want to make coming to this cabin a tradition so we will be back! The property is secluded, full of trees and an open yard. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. Better than the pictures can show! The dock is shared and when we wanted to fish it was being used so we will try that next time. Our dog loved it. She ran everywhere. Ended up with some burs though! She even went in the water! Didn't see much wildlife except for some geese flying over and the sound of the squirrels. No bugs! Can't wait to visit again. This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It is set back in the woods with no view of other cabins or homes. It has a view of a lake to the rear of the property and land to walk around a bit. Trails are close by. The cabin is beautiful work of art. The loft has five beds and the first floor bedroom has a large king size bed. The bath and a half is nice too. It is well kept, stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, plus games, music, and puzzles too. There is even a TV for DVD's and we did turn on the Lions game for a bit. Ludington is close by if you need to get to the city. Skating, movies, Meijers, coffee shops and of course Lake Michigan are all a short drive away. Im P. stayed Dec. 24, 2014

Everything I imagined. Quiet, warm cozy interior atmosphere. Great home layout and plenty of storage. Everything we forgot to bring was stocked. Jeff helped us out of a couple snags with flying colors. The party store was very handy and other than going there, we chose to hang out at the cabin and property. Washed our little car one afternoon. Just played around the home. We found the TV persnickety but have to admit, we grew up with black and white TV and you didn't POINT to the set to change stations...you got off your butt and turned the knob on the TV itself. Debbie & I have rented many cabins throughout all parts of Michigan & both of us agree that this one was one of the best. Jeff has this set up to where you never want to leave & the surroundings are as beautiful as the cabin. The cabin is just what we were looking for & we will definitely be returning for another visit! Only problem I had was stepping on a yellowjacket with barefeet in the laundry room as you 1st enter the cabin. There was a 1st aid kit that helped & we continued on our way to Ludington for a night out as I limped around. Our little yorkie Tiffy loved running around & we only saw 1 huge hawk/eagle flying around,some deer & a few squirrels.
